Your data
It's yours. Here's exactly what that means.
You're putting your client list, your diary and your invoices on a product you might have known for a week. You should be able to see the answers to the uncomfortable questions before you do that, not after.
Take all of it, any time, in one click
Settings → Export everything hands you one zip of spreadsheets — clients, enquiries, events, payments, invoices, venues, services, packages, staff, expenses — that open in Excel, plus a README saying what's what. No request form, no waiting, no “contact support”. It works on day one of a trial the same as year three.
Where it lives
A managed PostgreSQL database with point-in-time recovery, and a separate nightly copy written to independent storage under a different provider. Two copies, two companies, so one outage or one mistake can't take both.
Who can see it
Every query on the platform is scoped to your business at the database level, and the test suite refuses a query that isn't. Staff you invite see the sections you give them. Nobody else's clients are ever in your view, and yours are never in theirs.
If you leave
Export first — it's the same button. Your account and data are deleted 30 days after cancellation, which is long enough to change your mind and short enough that we're not keeping what isn't ours. Your clients' portal links stop working on the day you cancel, so nobody is looking at a dead page with your name on it.
If we stop
This is the question people don't ask out loud. Event Nest is a small company. If it ever wound down, you would get at least 90 days' notice, the export button would stay live for that whole period, and we would publish a plain-language guide to loading your file into whatever you move to. Your data would not be sold, and it would not be handed to anyone.
Payments
Card payments go through Stripe; we never see or store a card number. Payment records in your export are the amounts, dates and references — the things you need for your books.
